You
Your bump is becoming more obvious and some of your clothes may no longer fit. If you're one of the lucky women who 'bloom' in mid-pregnancy, you may notice your skin is clearer, your hair thicker and your nails stronger. Over the next few weeks, you may be offered routine blood tests to detect congenital abnormalities.
Your Baby
Your baby's heart is beating strongly, the limbs can now move and its started to get the hiccups! They're not noisy hiccups though, because its windpipe is filled with amniotic fluid, rather than air. Blood vessels are showing through its thin, almost transparent skin. Your baby's now the size of an avocado.
