You
You're halfway through your pregnancy! You'll probably be offered another scan, at which you'll be able to see your baby clearly and maybe even discover its sex. You may notice that you sweat more than you used to and you may feel the odd twinge or ache in your abdomen (don't worry, it's usually just your ligaments stretching).
Your Baby
Your baby's already 15cm long and really growing now, laying down stores of fat for warmth and energy. In their brain, the nerve cells governing taste, sight, smell, touch and hearing are developing apace. Your baby's skin is starting to thicken into four layers, covered with a creamy, moisturing substance (vernix) that protects them.
