You
Your hands, feet and ankles may seem puffy at the end of the day; this is probably fluid retention (oedema). Drink more water and rest with your feet up. If the swelling's severe or comes with headaches, call your midwife. The extra weight is putting strain on your back; when you lift things up, keep your spine straight and bend your knees.
Your Baby
Your baby's filling out nicely and beginning to lose the protective, creamy vernix and downy lanugo, ready for life outside the womb. Your baby has rapid eye movements during sleep now, just like you do when you're dreaming. If this is your first baby, they may have 'engaged' which means they've dropped down into your pelvis, in the right position for birth.
