You
Your breasts may be bigger (with darker-looking nipples) and your waistline a little thicker. You may be feeling sick and tired and thanks to the pregnancy hormones surging through your body, your emotions are almost certainly all over the place. Your body is now making more blood and your heart rate has increased.
Your Baby
Your baby's major internal organs are developing and it's grown to the size of a kidney bean. It has the beginnings of fingers and toes and the face is now recognisably human, with eyelids beginning to form and a tongue appearing in the mouth. By the eighth week, the tiny 'tadpole tail' has disappeared, marking the official move from embryo to foetus.
